The 2015 Montrachet Grand Cru has a brilliantly defined bouquet with real mineralité and tension, showing none of the reduction or blowsiness of some of its noble peers. The saline palate is very well balanced, with a killer line of acidity and a finish that fans out gloriously. There is nobility and effortlessness to this Montrachet, which should age over 20 years. This actually surpasses my assessment from barrel. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (DIAM 30 closure)
